The author and filmmaker Gudrun Mangold presents jointly with the photographer Bruno Preschesmisky 16 beautiful gardens in Provence. These gardens are located specifically in the southern Rhone Valley, in the Luberon and the Alps, in Aix and the surrounding area and in Grasse. to equal the beginning we learn that nowhere else in Europe, the different vegetation zones as close to each other are like between the French Alps and the Mediterranean, and nowhere is the density of the parks and gardens is as high as in the region "Provence-Alpes-Cote d` Azur ".
The trip by Mangold and Preschesmisky begins in the southern Rhone valley. Here is the first olive trees line with its shimmering silver, the green foothills of the Alps. High above the Rhone there is to be the most beautiful villages in France. I was thrilled the "Le Jardin des Herbes" in the Guard Adhémar and report of the Valley of nymphs. I am very impressed by the park of the Pavilion Vendome in Aix-en-Provence and the garden of the Hotel le Pigonnet "in the same place. Paul Cezanne lived in Aix, the environment there and loved inspired in the shade of the pines, magnolias and cypress can.
